Twisted Cozy

I wanted to have a go at cabling, so I thought this would be a good practice piece. Not too big, easy to frog if it went tits up, and just cheap leftover acrylic yarn that I didn't care about. But I like the way it turned out! The pattern is a very loosely translated (yay Google!) version of a french pattern I found on Ravelry, but I made it wider and lengthened the distance between the cables, so it's kind of my own now.

Pretty cables...

Wood button I had in my stash.

Socks!

Started these awhile ago and got about 75% done before I abandoned them. Finally got around to finishing them!

Second sock in progress.

All done!

Not actually uneven.

I've been knitting lately

Sorry for the long absence. Here's some of what I've been up to:

My first pair of knitted socks. From start to finish, these took me a year and a half to finish, but with a very long break in the middle.

My second pair of socks. I made these with a split toe, just for fun. I really like the way these turned out.

I'm working on my third pair of socks right now, and I'm starting to get the urge to sew, too. So hopefully it won't be so long for my next update.
