Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

Okay, I realize that this is probably insane. BUT. I did it anyway. We took our 3 y/o to see the Yo Gabba Gabba Live! show as her main birthday gift. When we bought the tickets, back in August I think, I got it into my head that she needed a special outfit for the show. I didn't know why then, and I don't really know why now. But I did it anyway.

The shirt itself, I bought on clearance at Target for $2. I made the applique out of eco-fi felt, and it was really just trial and error, because I'd never done applique before. I really happy with the way it turned out, though. If you have no idea what Yo Gabba Gabba is, that is a character called Toodie.

The tutu is a pretty standard pettiskirt that I made from what felt like a couple miles of nylon chiffon. This is actually the third one I've made. The first one was a gift, and I forgot to take pictures of it before it was given. The second is a giant fluffy pink thing that my little one loves to dance and spin around in. I do have pictures of that one. I'll post them along with the tutorial I used as a starting point, plus the tricks I've picked up along the way.

New(ish) Mug

Okay, so not brand new, but one of my more recent pieces. I really like the way it turned out, and I use it all the time. Which is the real test of a mug. If it doesn't get used, it's worthless.
